Hi guys! So, I haven't been on deviantart this entire week and I missed everyone's awesome art. Hopefully, I'll catch up and look at everyone's stuff

Anyways, this spring break, I went on a super fun trip to California

We went with one of my best friends and we had an awesome time! Now that I think about it, we actually got a lot of sightseeing in for the few days that we were there. We went down by the oceanside, downtown LA, Beverly Hills, Universal Studios, Disneyland, and even squeezed in a college tour on the last day.
Honestly, the highlight of the trip for me was Universal Studios and Disneyland. Why? because theme parks are freaking awesome! And also, I got to see a bunch of Disney walk around characters, and you all know how much I adore Disney

. I went into a gift shop and saw this really freaking awesome Ariel t-shirt that I reallllyy wanted. I was very dismayed when it cost 30 dollars though :\. Oh well, trip was still great. Disneyland is just the most adorable place ever, all the little girls are dressed up as princesses, and the rides are sooo fun. Downside was, the lines were each like an hour long! It was CRAZY! We waited in line for soooo long. The rides were worth it though

I mean, seeing Ariel and Belle on top of the parade float definitely made my freaking day.
The day before that,We saw a bunch of awesome shows and exhibits in Universal Studios and the most amazing thing I got to see was the Les Miserables exhibit. They actually had the costumes that the actors and actresses wore in the film! It was so cool! Anne Hathaway's dress was there, and so was Amanda Seyfried's. It was reallllyyy fantastic. And of course, we went on a bunch of roller coasters and rides

At the end of the day we went on the Studio tour and got to see how they did a bunch of special effects. We also saw a bunch of tv and movie sets, which was really exciting

Unfortunately, there were no celebrities walking around set at the time haha XD
One of the things I realized when we went to Beverly Hills, was just how boring some people's lives are. I mean, the place is realllyy awesome and it had one of the most freaking expensive shopping streets EVER. We are talking Prada, LV, Versace etc. So, it was pretty cool to walk around the streets and see these high end retailers in all their glory. Window shopping was pretty fun XD. While we were there, there were a bunch of women there who just walked around all day and shopped. Literally, they wore six inch heels, designer dresses and roamed the streets all day. Either they get paid to walk and around and look fashionable, or they just have really rich husbands...lol. Well, that was quite an experience.
I can honestly say that Downtown LA is no where as awesome as Downtown Chicago. sure there are shops and stuff, but the buildings aren't nearly as elegant and gorgeous as the ones here. It's also not as extravagant and high end feeling. We went to a bunch of shops and did a little shopping. I was kind of reluctant to spend my vacation shopping, because I can do that in Chicago any old day. Well, I also wanted to see a Laker game in LA, but that was not to be. We couldn't get tickets ahead of time, and it just wasn't on our itinerary. Ah well, maybe next time XD
So all in all, Cali is pretty damn awesome. The weather is amazing and the attractions are great! There's so much to see, and I definitely look forward to going there again. There were so many things that I did not get to see this time and I really want to see them in the future
